Celebrating Kay's Life Leads to New Peace Journey Adventure 2010 to Brazil
Kay’s Life Celebration June 4 2009
Light Drives Out Darkness Through
Friendship
We miss you, Kay.
Randy, I, and our staff (Liz, Allison, Beau and Delsy) want to sincerely thank friends, clients and colleagues of Kay’s for taking time to come together, honor her life, share fun stories, and support the education fund set up for her daughters Kelsy and Emma. For those who could not make it, we appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
Harris friends spoke, including Tom Payne, Susan Payne, and David Sawyer, as well as close friends, Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Whitlow and myself. Kay’s husband, David and the girls were not able to attend due to a trip to D.C., however, a heartfelt message was sent and read by Betsy. I am sure she would be happy to share it with you.
I made my Portuguese Terceira Island Shrimps (one of Kay’s favorites) and we enjoyed gourmet pizzas, fresh salads, gourmet cheeses and the show-stopper cakes from Carol Sawyer! And let’s not forget the specialty Champaign Cocktails and Bellinis, all among Kay’s favorites.
The gals at the spa also created pink (one of Kay’s favorite colors) gift bags, a music CD, a personal bookmark with a photo of Kay and a program of JuvenesseSpa Services incentives to everyone who would like to participate in an ongoing giving campaign. (Details below.)
NEXT? There were lots of conversations about what more we can do. JuvenesseSpa was created to support our charity; www.peacejourney.com
Our next trip is planned: Peace Journey Brazilian Eco-Farm, where kids from diverse cultures in American will travel to work on an organic farm in honor of Kay and her dream to someday open an organic restaurant. We honor her life by donating 15% of all spa services from now until July 2010 to support the Harris Education Fund.
And if Kelsy and Emma could go on this journey, it would be a dream come true for me. Just go to www.juvenessespa.com
